The Daily Gaze

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. (Psalm 27:4-6)

Making space for God’s Word daily has been my intentional priority. Back in January, I set the goal for myself to “Courageously Follow God’s Word.” (Thanks Betterman)

As a pastor, I have found that it is not enough to only read my Bible solely for sermon preparation. Biblical literacy is a must to obtain and grow in true Spiritual Health! Recently, I read an article by Kevin DeYoung where he made this statement; “We cannot truly know God, his will, or the way of salvation apart from the Bible. We need Scripture to live the truly good life.” (God’s Word is Necessary - Crossway).

With my good buddy Caleb Choate, we have created “THE DAILY GAZE” to get God’s Word in your hands, heart, mind, and mouth! I mean that every day through The Daily Gaze, you have access to Scripture in the palm of your hands. Read it so that it might penetrate your heart and transform your mind, leading you to share it with those around you.

Now, you may have your mode, method, and routine regarding your Bible intake. Thats great! Press on! I still pray that The Daily Gaze is another tool or access point for you. Peace and love TWP family!
